Work Undertaken

This single oven in Birmingham was suffering from strong, unpleasant odours when in use, caused by a significant build-up of grease and carbon around the fan, rear panel and internal components. A full strip-down clean was carried out to address the problem at its source rather than simply masking the symptoms.

All removable parts were carefully taken out, including shelves, side racks, fan cover and internal panels. Each component was deep cleaned using specialist, non-caustic products to safely remove burnt-on carbon and grease deposits. Particular attention was paid to the fan assembly, which was heavily contaminated and the main cause of lingering smells during cooking.

Once cleaned, the fan and internal surfaces were restored to a bright, shiny finish, allowing air to circulate properly again and eliminating the source of odours. The oven cavity, door glass and seals were thoroughly cleaned and detailed, returning the appliance to a fresh, hygienic condition.

After reassembly, the oven was tested to ensure everything was operating correctly. The result was a noticeably cleaner, fresher oven with no unpleasant smells and a revived appearance — restoring confidence and enjoyment in everyday cooking.
